Using that term is fundamentally incorrect. Granted that at the time the movie is set, the colonies had until very recently been a British possession, Baltus was never established as a lord of any kind. Therefore, he was Master Van Tassel and his wife would be known as Mistress Van Tassel, not Lady. I believe the text of this article should be edited to reflect that.

Hmm. You may be right but that is the title by which she is referred to in the film and during the ending credits. --Jupiter Optimus Maximus (talk) 22:03, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
