Lady Andal Venkatasubba Rao Matriculation Higher Secondary School is an academic institution located in Chetpet, Chennai in Tamil Nadu, India,is a unit of the Madras Seva Sadan,established in 1987. The school follows the Montessori philosophy.The school is named after the Late Lady M. Andal Venkatasubba Rao.The school focuses on the complete development of a child with emphasis on individual academic excellence. The school is Ensconced in a lush green campus of the Madras Seva Sadan, a charitable institution started by Lady Andal and her husband, the Late Sir M. Venkatasubba Rao.The school believes it is unique because it believes in an affectionate family atmosphere where the teacher is a facilitator guiding and helping the child acquire knowledge and overcome fears and inhibitions. The students of this school are unofficially referred to as 'Andalites'. The motto of the school is "Service with a Smile".
