Lactoridiaceae is a monotypic family of flowering plants. The only species is Lactoris fernandeziana, a shrub endemic to the Juan Fernández Islands. Essential oils are harvested from these shrubs.
The APG II system, of 2003 (unchanged from the APG system, of 1998), recognizes this family, and assigns it to the order Piperales, in the clade magnoliids.
