Lachlan Henderson (born December 14, 1989) is a current Australian rules football player for the Brisbane Lions.

He graduated from the AIS-AFL Academy in 2007, the same year he completed his schooling at The Geelong College and played football for the Geelong Falcons. After being picked up at number 8 in the AFL Draft, Henderson was given the number 14 guernsey left by former Brisbane Lion Richard Hadley.

Lachlan Henderson is often compared to Fremantle Docker's centre half forward Matthew Pavlich and Brisbane Lion's Jonathan Brown.

Lachlan Henderson scored his first behind in round 2 against Collingwood, but his first and second career goal was against Sydney Swans in Round 3 (April 5th, 2008).

[edit] Positions

Lachlan Henderson's preferred/usual position is Centre Half Forward but has the ability, due to a strong leap and mark, to play as Full Forward and also as an offensive-style Centre Half Back/Half back Flank.
