Lachenaie, Quebec

Lachenaie is an off-island suburb of Montreal, in southwestern Quebec, Canada on the Rivière des Prairies. It is located within the city of Terrebonne, and is in the Regional County Municipality of Les Moulins. Population: (2001): 21,709
Note: since June 2001, Lachenaie and La Plaine are now a part of Terrebonne.

A shopping center has recently been built in Lachenaie, turning the small town into a thriving community.
The shopping center contains stores and restaurants like:
- Quiznos Sub
- Home Depot
- Costco (Club Price, as some call it)
- EB Games
- Old Navy
- Future Shop
- Bureau en Gros (Also called Staples)
- McDonald's
- Wendy's
- Tim Hortons
- Maxi, a grocery store
- and others.
Lachenaie has a locally famous restaurant, the "Bourgeois Burger", renown for its poutine, that is next to a mini-golf circuit.
