Laban, the friendly ghost

Laban, the friendly ghost or "the ghost who wouldn't haunt", is a children's book character created by Inger and Lasse Sandberg from Karlstad, Sweden. Laban along with his family, the Father ghost, the Mother ghost and his sister Labolina was created in 1964. The name of Laban when translated into English is "the little ghost Godfrey".
Inger and Lasse Sandberg today run their company together with their son Nicklas Sandberg. The company is called Tre Sandberg AB. The characters were created to help Nicklas overcome his fear of ghosts as a child.
Laban, who should not be mistaken for Casper the Friendly Ghost, is a friendly character who does not want to haunt and scare people. Other characters created by the authors are among others the Thumb and Little Anna.
Laban & Labolina are also a concept for safe children's clothes, books and interior. Currently the products are sold through children's shops in Sweden and online. There is also currently being developed concept stores in Sweden, Norway, and Japan.
