These are a collection of quotes from both Wikipedians, and a select few quotes from other sources that I feel provides a certain perspective on life at Wikipedia or in general. Some are deliberately ironic. Some I also disagree with but decided to bring up anyway just to spotlight its inherent irony. Note: this page is currently very deficient and imbalanced, due to its youth. Expect more positive material later!

Hi, I was just wondering if there have been any lawsuits against Wikipedia for any reason. So, have there been? 68.143.166.174 14:18, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
There have been innumerable threats to sue Wikipedia, its editors, and the Wikimedia Foundation. None of them, as far as I know, have ever made it to court. Someday one will. Libel (think Seigenthaler) and copyright infringement seem the most likely grounds. —Charles P. (Mirv) 15:13, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

(A legal dispute concerning whether we should censor someone's last name in an article because of violation of privacy. I included this because many people already suspect that IAAL is a fraud and does not know what he was talking about. Here it remains for posterity.)

Hello. This rule Wikipedia:No legal threats is a nice rule without any doubts. However I don't think, that this rule is allowed to rule over the european and international law. IAAL 16:43, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia talk:Long term abuse/Mr. Treason

(Deepest respect to Mike H, but I had a bit of a Schadenfreude moment.)

I clicked rollback to revert two of his edits (I had previously successfully reverted one) and I was redirected to sex sites, where at least two viruses downloaded themselves to my computer. Please SOMEONE FUCKING HELP ME. Mike H 04:39, Sep 10, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia talk:Long term abuse/Wikipedia is Communism

(Clarifying a proposal to file a lawsuit against WiC)

I retract this comment, I didn;t know people were taking this seriously! He does seem to be hurting us all too much! Say if this continues for several more months, than we could resot to this. εγκυκλοπαίδεια* 00:00, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Talk:Methionylglutaminyl...serine

(This was regarding an article whose name had to be cut short due to technical restrictions for being too long — now at User talk:Sannse/Methionylglutaminyl...serine.)

This statement appeared from an anonymous IP:

The above is misspelled, it has 4 letters too many.

Please could someone (with too much free time) verify the word.
SimonMayer 22:43, 4 Apr 2004 (UTC)
I've checked the 1971 Guinness Book of Records and put a scan of the entry at Image:Long word.png. The entry confirms there should be 1,913 letters but the word as printed is 1,912 letters. I've checked through letter by letter and our version has an extra "l" at position 111 - which I believe is correct. Other than this, the version in the article matches the Guinness entry exactly. Yep... I have too much free time -- sannse (talk) 19:39, 3 Oct 2004 (UTC)

"Saying someone is a hypocrite and demonstrating why is not namecalling Saying someone has no logical consistancy or is being logically inconsistant, or being illogical and providing a demonstration of their poor logic is also not name calling None of those are personal attacks. Words have meanings learn them!"

Is it average for a 14 year old to have a 6 3/4 inch long penis and have 4 inches gurth?
