La stanza del vescovo (‘The Bishop’s Room’) is an Italian film directed by Dino Risi adapted from the the novel of the same name by Piero Chiara. It stars Ugo Tognazzi, Ornella Muti and Patrick Deweare; supporting actors include Lia Tanzi and Carlo Mazzarella.
Lake Maggiore is employed to provide a beautiful and evocative back-drop to the action: the central events of the film take place around Baveno. (In the novel the location had been Oggebbio).
