La Vita Cos'e

La Vita Cos'e was the Swiss entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in the year 2000. The ballad, which featured a climatic chorus, was performed by Jane Bogaert, who wore a lilac, sleeveless gown for her performance, and was accompanied by four backing singers dressed in black. Switzerland had not taken part in the 1999 Eurovision, having been relegated, because they had received the dreaded "nil points" in 1998. Jane's song about longing for someone she loved, finished in 20th place, with 14 points, which meant that Switzerland also had to sit out the 2001 Eurovision.
