La Vie Theatre is a small theatre company based in the Twin Cities. Formed in 2003 by Jason Schommer, Becca Jo Malmstrom, Nate Maher, and Corinne Shor the company produces often light-hearted plays, usually with a focus on comedy. They often incorporate song and dance and gay themes into their productions. The company used to perform at the now-defunct Fourth Street Theater in Saint Paul, Minnesota and held the distinction of being the only company to ever sell out the house. La Vie's latest play, Wonderland, an adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, updated and set in a gay dance club, became the best-selling show at the 2006 Minnesota Fringe Festival.[1]
