[edit] Controversy

La Vergne High has become embroiled in a dispute with the county over an assembly to which only black,Asian, and Hispanic students were invited, and the local NAACP chapter has filed a complaint. [4] [5] In a separate incident, principal Daniels, who is black, alleged that he was passed over for promotion, and received a $57,000 settlement from the county.[6]
