La Société Expéditionnaire is a Pennsylvania - based independent record label established in 2006 by Lewis & Clarke (music)'s Lou Rogai with the help of Dragon Turtle's Tom Asselin (audio engineer) and Brian Lightbody (graphic designer). The first release was a split 7" record by Strand of Oaks and Dragon Turtle.
[edit] Mission
La Société Expéditionnaire operates as an Artist-Based Label Cooperative, facilitating infrastructure, publicity, and distribution. In ideal cases, all profits go to the artist. The label's motto is "Digging the Crystals", a geological reference to uncovering "hidden gems", and the label both "wings it" and "goes for it".
