- La Peste features several references to literature. The album's title as well as the track Strange allude to the works of Albert Camus. The final track, Sinking... is based on The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
- The sixth track is a cover version of The Eagles' "Hotel California (song)."
- Too Sick To Pray was included in the soundtrack to the movie Gone in Sixty Seconds (2000 film).
