La Jarrie is a commune in the canton of La Jarrie of the Charente-Maritime in the département in the Poitou-Charentes region in western France. It is the seat of the canton of the same name but commonly without the La. It is one of the few municipalities that another major commune has the same population in 1999 and it is Sainte-Soulle.
