La Costa Island

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

La Costa Island is an island in Lee County in southwest Florida, located just offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. It lies just north of North Captiva Island, separated by a channel called Captiva Pass. Like North Captiva, Captiva and Sanibel Islands, La Costa is a barrier island to Pine Island (to the east of Captiva and north of Sanibel).

It is home to Cayo Costa State Park and Pine Island National Wildlife Refuge.
