La Chingada

La Chingada (The [Female] Fucked One) is a Mexican concept closely tied with Mexico's national identity and most famously analysed by Octavio Paz in his book The Labyrinth of Solitude. La Malinche is usually identified as being La Chingada, but the concept has since extended far beyond her.
