In response to a request for clarity on time and place:

gives an account of this event being held on 11/24/2000. There is an image on that page that includes the same yellow framed sign reading "Stop Shopping Start Living". From what I can find on the internet, the "Roberts Furs" sign in the background must be 272 Post St San Francisco, CA

  • The Co-ordinates (37.7885° N, 122.4065° W) given in the description map to Post St, just east of Stockton St.
