Laila Marrakchi (born in 1975, in Casablanca) is Moroccan film maker, she's most famous for the controversial film Marock.
She is a Muslim, and is married to film director Alexandre Aja, a Sephardic Jew. She grew up in the upper class Casablanca milieu that is portrayed in Marock.
