converts litres to imp/US gal

  • 1 (first unnamed
    parameter)
(required)  specifies the number of litres to be converted for either
  • a single value or
  • the start of a range.

Please do not format this parameter; i.e., use 1234 instead of 1,234.

  • 2 (second unnamed
    parameter) 
(optional) specifies the number of litres to be converted for the end of a range. Please do not format this parameter; i.e., use 1234 instead of 1,234.
  • precision
(optional) the number of decimal places in the converted value is rounded to. Defaulting to conversions to the most precise of the following.
  • conversions rounded to the same decimal place as that of the input value
    • note: Where a range is given the most precise of the inputs is used.
    • note: Gallons and litres are of comparable size.

  • conversions rounded to two significant figures
  • sigfig
(optional) specifies the number of significant figures in the converted value.
  • This overrides precision.
  • Where the conversion is of a range it is the number of significant figures in the first value which is specified with the second being rounded to the same level of precision.
  • abbr
(optional) can take values of either yes or no.
  • yes 
both unit names will be abbreviated
  • no
both unit names will be spelt out

The default is to spell only the first unit name out as specified in the Manual of Style for dates and numbers.

  • spell
(optional) specifies whether to use American spelling. Set this to us if this is desired.
  • wiki
(optional) specifies whether the names of the units should be linked to the corresponding article. Set this to yes if this desired.
  • unit
(optional) specifies abbreviation for litre the default is l, set this parameter to L if desired.
