[edit] Article Structure

  1. Table of contents is not floated.
    1. If TOC must be floated, it must be below the lead section (i.e. where it is placed by default).
  2. All maintenance tags and disambig links are located just above the main text.
  3. Headings are correctly spelled, and in the agreed upon order.
  4. No heading titles are similar to other words on the page, such as "Save Page" or "Search".

[edit] Text

  1. No unnecessary page breaks.
  2. No spelling or major grammar mistakes.
  3. All non-latin characters are transliterated.
  4. Wikilinking is used conservatively, only when helpful in understanding the text. (i.e. in the sentence During World War I, the speeches and writings of Central Powers scientists were available only to Central Powers academics, for national security reasons., WWI, Central Powers, and perhaps national security should be wikilinked, but scientists, speeches and academics should not.)
  5. All links are well described.
  6. There are no wikilinks in section titles.

[edit] Graphic Design

  1. All information available through a graphic interface (i.e. a picture, map, chart) is also available in text format.
  2. Color coding used on charts is used only as a back-up to text.
  3. The correct wikitable format is used.
  4. Tables are not used solely for layout.
  5. All tables, charts, maps, etc have appropriate color contrast.

[edit] Coding

  1. Source text is properly coded and easily editable. See WP:ACCESS#Style and markup...
  2. Source code validates to XHTML Strict. (This will disallow deprecated elements like "FONT".)

What else here?

[edit] Miscellaneous

  1. Page has been examined by at least two members of the wikiproject.
  2. No problem was reported, regardless of whether it falls under criteria or not.
