[edit] Origins Question
I wonder if anyone can answer a question. when did the software come out? After the server software leaked? And how does it emulate that same code? --71.141.136.118 05:49, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
- According to SourceForge's CVS it began about mid-june 2004. It does not "emulate the same code" but rather emulate the behavior of the original servers. Most probably thanks to observations on the communications of the game with the server. Wooden
[edit] @"official" devs and "your" page
Dear dev, I can only guess you are new to wikipedia, but you seem to need to learn a lot about it. A wikipedia page about your project is hardly "your" page. Actually as by the matter of fact likely biased contributer you are even discoraged to edit your own page. While this issue is arguable, telling people to "please not edit our page" is absolute off and such needs to be stopped. You contributions are welcome, but a) don't think you got any more rights than any other contributer here because your are an "official" dev (whatever makes somebody more "official" (office related :-) ) than somebody else in a GPL project) and actually in case of disputes you are even asked to hold yourself *more* into background than the avarage wikipedia contributer. Let your users / wikpedia contributers handle this page. Hope 'ya understand. --Jestix (talk) 15:09, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
