[edit] Lucuma or Lúcuma?

should the article name be corrected? The correct spanish spelling is with the accent; should it be kept? --Orpheo 07:57, 11 November 2005 (UTC)

You are correct - I moved the article - AKeen 05:29, 12 November 2005 (UTC)
It's actually neither. The accepted English name for Pouteria lucuma is Lucmo. The page needs to be moved in order to reflect the correct nomenclature. Please refer to Purdue University's New Crop Resource Online Program; there is an article on the Lucmo[2] by Julia F. Morton (Morton, J. 1987. "Lucmo." p. 405–406. Fruits of warm climates. Julia F. Morton, Miami, FL, ISBN: 0-9610184-1-0). --Rcgy 08:12, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
Is the lucuma really known as a 'lucmo'? I have never heard of this name. A Google search turns up 50 times more hits for Lucuma. It is Wikipedia policy to use the original name if it is more commonly used by English speakers, which 'lucuma' certainly appears to be.
