Lötschberg

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Lötschberg or Lötschen Pass is a mountain pass across the Alps between the Kandertal in the Canton of Berne and the Lötschental in Vallis, both in Switzerland.

There is no actual mountain called Lötschberg; the highest mountain of the region is the Balmhorn (3698 m). The pass (2690 m) is not accessible for cars, but traffic goes through the Lötschberg Tunnel via railway.
