Línea Sarmiento (Buenos Aires)

The Línea Sarmiento (in English: Sarmiento Line) is a commuter rail service in Buenos Aires, Argentina run by the private company Trenes de Buenos Aires (TBA) since 27 May 1995. This service had previously been run by the state-owned Ferrocarril Domingo Faustino Sarmiento since nationalisation of the railways in 1948. TBA forms part of the consortium UGOFE[1], which operates other commuter rail services in Buenos Aires. Línea Sarmiento operates on broad gauge.
