Léon van Hove

Léon van Hove was born in 1924. In 1976 the two CERN Laboratories (Prévessin and Meyrin) were formally joined, with John Adams and van Hove dividing the responsibility between them. LEP was proposed during van Hove's tenure as Director General. He died in 1990
