[edit] Hvarf-Heim
I have re-added the English translations to this page as all of the Sigur Rós album pages contain translations of track names. This has been agreed on by many editors thus should stay in place. Chappy TC 11:36, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
i find their inclusion trivial and unnecessary. also, they are inconsequential, hljómalind is not provided with a translation, nor are hvarf and heim, and the info added to salka and vaka are explanations on the origin of the name, rather than translations. lagið í gær is renamed í gær. L!nus 11:58, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- Their inclusion is so that people that don't speak Icelandic know the meaning of the title. I've only included the translation of the names I could find on the official web-site, where no translation was available I haven't included it. Remember this is the english speaking version of Wikipedia thus English people are looking here for information on the album/s and the meanings of titles in foreign languages is legitimate information. [edit] Re: Amiina vs amiina
discussion move to Talk:amiina L!nus 20:50, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for you feedback (to my Sept 13 edit to the amiina?Amiina? talk page). There's a note to PEJL, but also to you, on my talk page. I'm going to try to stay a good mediator and not have an opinion, at least until some other people get involved in the discussion. --Eitch 18:24, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Sigurros Hrafnagaldur.jpg
Hi. I juste scanned and uploaded this cover. Isn't it for Rímur EP or maybe a different one? I'm not sure. At lease I can't find any article about it. --Steinninn 23:30, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
- see here for the cover for the rímur ep. a bit bland perhaps :^).
- the image you uploaded seems related to oðin's raven magic (given that's the title it displays) which is not the same as the rímur ep. i am sure i have seen the image before, but i can't place it right now. presumably it's fan-art for one of the live bootlegs.
-
-
- that's strange. oðin's is something quite different from the rímur ep, and it is unreleased. do you own the cd or have you heard it? if it is the rímur ep, the cover is at odds with it. strange. i'll ask the opinion of some real experts. --L!nus 17:41, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
-
nope, none yet. but as i said earlier, the rímur ep and odin's raven magic are two different things. the rímur ep was a 2001 limited tour release, featuring steindor singing rímur (accompanied by the band on some songs) while odin's is an orchestral setting for hrafnagaldur. i have started an article about it here. odin's has never been released but there are live recordings available. all of that i am sure off, what i can't comment on is the cd you have there. if it is the rímur ep then the cover is wrong. as for the infoboxes: i had a look at them just now, and yes, they need a clean-up. i think they should follow the same chronology as the navigation template. --L!nus 08:46, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Sigur Rós
Please stop deleting relevant info from Sigur Rós without consensus. Your edits are unexplained and unhelpful.
If we can't come to an agreement on this I will ask an administrator to mediate. Popkultur 16:28, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
- heima will have it's premiere in reykjavik on october 27th, not in ghent. ghent is just one of several screenings of the film with an acoustic set. the information is therefore inaccurate and misleading+this is an article on sigur ros, not a place to post about new tour dates (for such info, go here). further information on heima can be found here. --L!nus 17:23, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] seoul cover
Hey, no offense about the fair use rationale on the Seoul cover. I uploaded it, so the bot that watches for fair use hit my talk page with a "you'd better fix that page!" message. I didn't realize until now that you'd only added the non-template rationale a couple hours ago — that is, I didn't mean anything by immediately editing your edit. — eitch 15:29, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
no probs --L!nus 19:16, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Seoul (song)
Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Seoul (song), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. - As I created the page I'm kind of interested in getting it to remain on Wikipedia. I believe it is notable and I am also of the opinion that the editors proposing pages for deletion are normally overly sloppy when reading the pages that they validate. The same thing has happened to me before when I added Special Forces. Thanks for inviting me to the AmiinaWiki. Sebras (talk) 11:46, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
