KZRO-FM Radio 100.1 (aka known as Z100fm or The Z-Channel) is a classic rock formatted station based in Mount Shasta, California (city of license is Dunsmuir, California).
The station, with the slogan "We're in it for the music, not the money," features only two commercial breaks per hour 24 hours a day on weekdays (due to the layout of syndicated programming on weekends, it is not possible to do this Saturday and Sunday). Morning show features goofy stories, daily featured listener email, requests, Dick Clark's Music Calendar, Prime Comedy Cut, Stupid News, CNN News and more.
KZRO-FM has been granted a Construction Permit from the FCC to increase its power to 31,000 watts which will cover nearly 300,000 persons in the Redding, California Arbitron radio market. The station currently covers 195,000 persons in five counties throughout its 24,000 square mile coverage area.
