Kyriacos C. Markides

Kyriacos C. Markides is a professor of sociology at the University of Maine. In addition he has written several books on the topic of Christian mysticism. .In his recent books he explores mystical Christianity through his association with the charismatic elder, Father Maximos, a monk from Mount Athos. Markides'books are widely read and have been published in thirteen other languages. He has also given regular lectures and workshops around the United States, Canada and overseas. Furthermore, he has appeared on national television and has been interviewed on national and international radio stations as well as newspapers and magazines. He currently resides in Stillwater, Maine, with his wife, Emily.[1]
