From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Initial content is what I could glean from Japanese article.

[edit] Additional content moved
I moved category, dates, "see also" from Izumi Kyoka. (More links lead to Kyoka Izumi.)
[edit] Addition/rewrite
Using the Japanese Wikipedia article as well as the sources the Japanese article lists, created a more detailed biography. My Japanese is such that I miss some nuances, so if I would appreciate some editing if I have made some major errors.
[edit] Shuzenji
In the section Kyoka Izumi#Final Years;
he contracted pneumonia and went to Shuzenji temple in Chiba prefecture to recover.
Well, Shuzenji is not only the name of a temple, but also that of the town in the region, famous as a hot-spring resort. And it is not in Chiba prefecture but in Shizuoka prefecture. I would write
he contracted pneumonia and visited Shuzenji hot-spring resort in the mountains in Izu, Shizuoka prefecture.

[edit] Macrons
The page illustrates the results of the poorly thought out Wikipedia policy on macrons. The name Kyoka occurs with and without macrons throughout the article (or at least did before I changed most of them). The article title should use macrons but doesn't. Tanizaki Jun'ichirō should use a macron and an apostrophe but doesn't.
The inconsistent use of macrons probably does more harm than good.
