[edit] Sources for Greg Hall
Hello, good work on Greg Hall, and thanks for the contribution. However, you did not provide any references or sources in the article. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a push to encourage editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. Can you list in the article any websites, books, or other sources that will allow people to verify the content in Greg Hall? You can simply add links, or see WP:CITET for different citation methods. Thanks! BRIAN0918 13:37, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Tas electorates
Kyle, I hate to discourage your editing, but I have reverted your additions to the five Tasmanian federal electorate articles. The state electorates of the same names are different entities and should have separate articles. I suggest:
- Tasmanian state electoral division of Bass
- Tasmanian state electoral division of Braddon
- Tasmanian state electoral division of Denison
- Tasmanian state electoral division of Franklin
- Tasmanian state electoral division of Lyons
Regards Adam 10:46, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
Kyle, I think the way you have done the Franklin article is excellent. I see by the way we have very similar interests (except perhaps river systems). Perhaps we should start Labor Wikipedians. Adam 12:35, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Ivan_dean.jpg
Hello, thanks for uploading Image:Ivan_dean.jpg. Unfortunately images restricted to non-commercial use only are no longer permitted on Wikipedia. As a result, this image is likely to be deleted shortly. If you can find a better image which can be used for commercial purposes, please feel free to upload it to replace it. Thanks! --David Johnson [T|C] 19:02, 19 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Dealing with vandalism
Thanks for spotting and reverting the vandalism on José de San Martín. This anonymous user in particular has commited vandalic acts in the past. In cases like this, if you have the time, leave a warning in the vandal's talk page (see Wikipedia:Vandalism for details). This serves to let him/her know how close s/he to being blocked, and for administrators to assess her/his behaviour at a glance. Cheers! --Pablo D. Flores (Talk) 17:21, 22 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Lin Thorp
I'm assuming that this edit was meant to refer to 2005 (or else I've mysteriously lost a few months!). Ambi 05:26, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, (thanks if you have changed it). I was just writing in another article "will face election in 2006". It was still on my brain. Time doesnt fly that fast... --Kyle sb 16:29, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Sir_John_William_Evans.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Sir_John_William_Evans.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 17:50, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hi Kyle
Greetings, I'm not a 100% sure, but I think the 3 you removed, from the Paul Hindenburg article, is referencing the quotes from the book at the very bottom of the article. How's the weather in Tasmania? Dr. Dan 20:01, 3 March 2006 (UTC) p.s. If I'm correct, will you replace it, or should I?
- Well I thought that (3) might reference something, like a quote. However I couldn't see any evidence of that and it wasn't in brackets, linked or anything. You can change it, if it's not supposed to be there. The weather in Tasmania is muggy and hot today, about 26 degrees:P. Kyle sb 07:12, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Good Work
Well done on the 2006 Tassie election article. Maustrauser 11:38, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Tasmanian Election
Kyle, I am not sure if this comment should just be added to my talk page, or duplicated on yours . . .
Regarding my recent edits to Tasmanian legislative election, 2006 I removed that statement 'The Liberals gained a 4.5% swing, despite making no real gains in the election' because the Liberals did make a "real gain" in the election - their primary vote increase. The amount of swing they got is specified elsewhere in the sentence "The Liberal primary vote rose by 4.5% to 32%." so it did not need to be stated twice. Also, speculation about them possibly picking up a seat (slim chance) could conflict with the "no real gain statement". Peter C Talk! 06:27, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Map of Lyons
Looks fine to me. Are we going to hold our three seats in Franklin? Adam 07:11, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
Done. Ambi 23:23, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Opposition Leaders
It's a work in progress. I was about to run out of laptop battery, so I had to save then or I'd lose it. I'm just about finished the list now - I'll have it posted in a couple of minutes. Ambi 06:32, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
- Done now. I just need to disambiguate the names and add a bit about the position. :) Ambi 06:36, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Block
I'm sorry Kyle; that was my understanding of blocking policy as well. If you can specify your IP I can unblock you. Unfortunately when an IP is blocked there can be collateral damage such as this; as it is meant to prevent an anon from circumventing the block by creating/editing from accounts. - RoyBoy 800 06:16, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

Hello, Kyle sb. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:VandalProof icon.jpg) was found at the following location: User talk:Kyle sb. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 10:34, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WP:CVU status
The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! [edit] Request for comment
Hello. I am wondering if you'd like to contribute to this discussion to help in coming to a consensus, as I feel that this is an important thing to do before the federal election. Thanks! Frickeg 23:43, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:William_Cox_Governor.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:William_Cox_Governor.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 19:09, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
