[edit] International System of Units

The reference you changed in International System of Units was correct before your change, provided you interpret "page 13" to mean page 13 in the pdf, and that you use the page numbers that occur in the text, not the page number in the Acrobat Reader toolbar. This is a never-ending source of confusion for pdf documents.

I think your change is a good idea; it avoids the issue of which page number to use. --Gerry Ashton 21:19, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Oh, whew... I thought you were saying I had done it wrong at first! I wasn't sure if I should edit it or not, but I wanted to read the original text that was being sourced, and I had trouble seeing where it would be located (without using "find" in the PDF). I figured this could clear things up for anyone else wishing to do the same thing. In the future, if there is an HTML table of contents like this, should I do the same thing when the location of the text is unclear, or would it be better to leave it alone the next time? (Though I don't think there will be a "next time"; this isn't something I would do often ~_^) —- KyleP 21:45, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
I think it depends on the size of the sections. If each section contains about the same amount of information as a printed page, I'd do what you did. But if the sections had as much information as a book chapter, I'd make the citation point to the pdf and give a page number. --Gerry Ashton 22:09, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
