[edit] Fish
You are modifying a statement made through a different reference which is not academically proper. The reference cites a source which states animal protein, whether you want to call it meat or not the point of the statement deal with protein, not meat, which is why it was changed. You can add the information at another spot, or remove the citation, but placing new words in front of a citation is inappropriate.--Chef Christopher Allen Tanner, CCC 22:29, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
- I understand your statement, and actually I sort of have a few responses for it, especially because of my research and I was a vegetarian for many years when I was younger. Fish are confined actually, there are multiple "fish farms" used to produce salmon and other fish indoors in tanks that are not their natural habitat, as well tuna and other "sea fish" are often confined with-in a netted area for "farming" out at ocean, while this is not conventional "caging" it goes against the notion of them "roaming free". In addition, I would prefer to see a source for the statement used when adding it as new editors for the article are doing the same and if the statement is unsourced they will remove it in favor of one that is sourced.
- One other thing, this isn't a big deal to me but it may be to others if you talk to them on here in the future, you need to "sign" your discussion posts so we know ho to contact you. It is the little button with the squiggly signature on it next to the w with the red cross out circle over it. --Chef Christopher Allen Tanner, CCC 23:07, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

- Okay, maybe we can compromise. I went and searched out a website that you can use as a source for the page. http://www.ivu.org/faq/definitions.html which states that pescetarians are as such to avoid "factory farming techniques" which are associated with raising land-based animals.--Chef Christopher Allen Tanner, CCC 23:24, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
Do you want to take care of it or shall I?--Chef Christopher Allen Tanner, CCC 23:29, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
- I moved some stuff around on there, hope it meets to your approval.--Chef Christopher Allen Tanner, CCC 20:53, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
