[edit] Fictional character biography
When his wife left him, Dominic became very domineering over Kylie. One night when Kylie went out with Mondo O'Connell in 2004, Dominic beat her up for coming home late. When he framed Mondo for the assault, Dominic forced Kylie to tell the Gardaí that Mondo raped her. Mondo was arrested, but he was later released and Kylie found herself trapped in Dominic's house. Mondo went over to the house and confronted Dominic. As Dominic prepared to attack Mondo, Kylie warned her father that the Gardaí were coming. A furious Dominic tried to stop Kylie and Mondo running away, but the two teenagers managed to escape. Kylie dropped the charges and moved into a flat.
When Tracy began a relationship with Dominic in 2005, she was horrified to discover that Dominic beat up his daughter. Dominic, in turn, was shocked to learn that Tracy was once a prostitute. Dominic came by this information when Pete Flanagan left an old newspaper in his letterbox. Tracey discovered Dominic's deception when Kylie told her the terrible truth. Despite these revelations, Dominic and Tracey are now living together in a relationship. Tracy helped Dominic to reconcile with his daughter, who has foolishly forgiven him for abusing her. It seemed that Dominic had changed his ways, but he angrily told Pete to stay away from his family, so he is still very domineering.
In 2006 Kylie once again went through an ordeal. One night, when her boyfriend Slim left McCoys with another girl, Kylie headed off in pursuit of them and decided to take a shortcut through an alleyway. This proved to be Kylie's undoing when she was attacked and raped there. When Tracy visited Kylie in her flat, she told her what had happened the night before. Terrified of being alone in her flat, Kylie temporarily moved in with Dominic and Tracy. With the help of Tracy, Kylie reported the rape to the Gardaí. Fearing that the police would suspect him, theformer prisoner Patrick asked Tibbs to be his alibi, as he was alone on the night Kylie was raped. Tibbs subsequently agreed.Ironically, it was later revealed that the rapist was Tibbs himself.
Dominic was determined to bring the rapist to justice. When Barry O'Hanlon published an article on the rape in the Northside Post, Dominic informed him that his daughter was the girl who was raped. Ken Fahey, having read the article, realised that he was in the same area where the attack took place. Ken apologized to Kylie for not being there to protect her, but Dominic believed that this was an admission of guilt and confronted Ken. When Ken refused to reveal the source of his information, Dominic thought that waiting for the Gardaí to catch the rapist is not something he enjoys, so he decided to take matters into his own hands again while unaware that the rapist was Tibbs. When Ken was attempting to return a mobile phone to a girl in an alleyway, the girl thought that he was going to attack her and ran away. Dominic wrongly assumed that Ken was the rapist and beat him up. With Ken unconscious, Dominic made an anonymous call to the Gardaí and told them that the rapist is in the alleyway. As Dominic arrived home, he told a horrified Tracy that justice has been done.
Although Tracy was initially horrified by this, Dominic manipulated her into believing that Ken was the rapist. After waking up in hospital, Ken couldn't remember who attacked him. When the Gardaí talked to Ken, they realised that there was a rapist and a vilganite on the loose. When Terry was attacked by the rapist, Tracy told Dominic that Ken was in Rainbows at the time of the assault, so he couldn't be the rapist. Although Dominic was shocked by this, he shrugged it off, maintaining that Ken was not seriously injured after he beat him up. Tracey, Dominic and Kylie went on holiday for a weekend, but Dominic was still obsessed with hunting down the rapist. When Jo Fahey was intimidated by a homeless man, the people believed that he was the rapist. Kylie was certain that her rapist had finally been caught and tried to socialise with Slim and Tibbs, but she felt unsafe and subsequently went home. Dominic suspected that the rapist was still out there, but Tracy was unconvinced. His fears proved to be true when the Gardaí found evidence proving that the man couldn't be the rapist.
On 25 December 2006, Dominic went out on patrol to hunt down the rapist, leaving a furious Tracy on her. Tracy tried to search him, but she was attacked by the rapist. Dominic, having heard Tracy's screams, appeared on the scene and saved Tracy from the rapist's clutches. An angry Dominic beat up the rapist and unmasked him, revealing his identity to be Tibbs. Kylie was horrified to discover that Slim's friend Tibbs was the rapist and subsequently broke up with her boyfriend, explaining that she couldn't trust anyone who behaves like a junevile delinquent and hangs around with notorious criminals. Detective Byrne questioned Dominic about the injuries that Tibbs sustained. Dominic claimed that his actions were in self-defence. Dominic revealed to Kylie that he was the person who beat up Ken. Tracy subsequently persuaded Dominic to tell Ken the truth. Although Ken threatened to contact the Gardaí, Dominic manipulated him into believing that he was sorry for attacking him. Consequently, Ken decided not to report him or mention that his daughter was raped to avoid upsetting her.
In 2007, Dominic informed Kylie that Tibbs was pleading guilty to her rape, she decided to get back to work. While in The Galley, Kylie met Kev and began a relationship with him. She told him about the rape and things seemed to be going smoothly for her, but Kev disliked working for Dominic and being taken to hear the verdict of the courts concerning Kylie's rapist. When Kev grew tired of waiting for Kylie to have sexual intercourse with him, he had a one-night stand with a girl and subsequently broke up with her.
