Welcome!
Welcome to Wikipedia, Kyaw 2003! My name is Ryan, aka Acetic Acid. I noticed that you were new and haven't received any messages yet. I just wanted to see how you were doing. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it uses different formatting than other sites that use HTML and CSS. In the long run, though, you'll find that the WikiSyntax is a lot easier and faster than those other ways. Here are a few links to get you started:
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
There are a lot of policies and guides to read, but I highly recommend reading over those first. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Please be sure to sign your name on Talk Pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? :)
I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. We can use all the help we can get! Have a nice day. Sincerely, Acetic'Acid 13:50, August 31, 2005 (UTC)
Hi! Thank you for contributing information about the Saung. Are the pictures you uploaded copyrighted? If they are, please ask permission first. We can only use pictures in the public domain or under another free license. Another thing: instead of duplicating information on many similarly-named articles, we can use redirects. Thanks! [edit] Dhamma Society Fund
It's a bit difficult because in Thai culture it's not really accepted to criticize in public... But, i found the following:
The Dhamma Society Fund is publishing this new Tipitaka, and on the above page they mention that their Tipitaka is the "first-ever publication of the complete Pāḷi Tipiṭaka of the Great Buddhist International Council convened in B.E. 2500/1956". It's indirectly claiming that none of the other publications (whether in Roman or Burmese script) were complete. I can't get more specific than this. If it's not good enough, please copy the comments to the talk-page, and when at a later time more info is published (on their website?), it can be re-inserted easily.
[edit] Image:WAGGGS-Burma Girl Guides badge.jpg
Do you know of any way to render asinthint on this badge into Burmese text? I am going to have a clearer version made if I can get that. (I apologize, I'm trying to build it from a graphic of the Burmese alphabet, and I am messing it up) Thank you! Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 20:46, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you so much! When I try to open it, though, it brings up a spam site and will not let me in. Would you get to that screen again, and hit the keyboard buttons [ctrl] and [print screen] and send that image to me? I can walk you through, but it will not let me in, sorry. Thank you! - Thank you, that is wonderful, just what I needed! Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 02:30, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
