Kyaw Swe born Mg Maw Ni (February 10, 1924 - August 15, 1982 in Yangon) was a Burmese actor and film director.

Kyaw Swe was born on February 10, 1924 in Yangon, Yangon Division. His parents were U Ba Nit and Daw Ohn Sein. He attended the St. John school, and during World War II he was chief of law in Bago. He entered into BDA during the Japan Revolution. He entered into film around 1945-46. He became a film actor, changing his name to Kyaw Swe, and appeared in the film Saw Ya San Shar, a silent film, directed by U Ba Shin. It was produced by British-Burmese Film company (Today called “Nyut Myanmar” ).
He moved to A One Film film compamy and he starred in the films of “Bo Gyoke”, “Ta Thwe Ta Mya”, and “A Htout Taw” and “Chit Ye Baw” directed by U Chin Sein(Shwe Nyar Maung). He also starred in “Bo Aung Din” and “Thar Bo Aung Din” directed by Shwe Don Be Aung, “The Saung Hay Man” directed by U Thu Kha, “Phyay Yort Khway” directed by Chit Khin, “Min aung Min Naung” directed by U Aung Gyi and “hpu Sar Nit Khine” directed by Hla Oo ( Lu Gyan Hla Maung Lay) for British Burma Company.
In 1961, he learned performance in Japan Film company from Japan. He also established his own film company. His first directed film was “Pu Lae Myat Ye (Preal Tear)” and he starred in that film, with actress Khin Yu May, a war film. He also directed “Chit Myat Tar, “Ma chu tar the”, “ the myat tar lane”, “Sane” . Between 1945 and 1982, he regular worked as both a director and as an actor. His last film is “Mwe Mwe chin Che Myin”. He died on August 15, 1982. His left his wife, Daw Nwe Nwe and five children.
