The station is owned by Salisbury Broadcasting. An acquisition by Mapleton Communications announced in 2006[1] was not completed.
On August 20, 2007, Lazer Communications acquired the rights to purchase KXTY from Mapleton Communications.[1]
On Monday November 19, 2007 the format on KXTY changed from talk to Spanish romantica music.
