KXLF-TV is a television station in Butte, Montana, broadcasting locally on VHF channel 4 as a CBS affiliate, with programming from The CW on digital. Founded August 14, 1953, the station is owned by the Evening Post Publishing Company. KXLF was Montana's first television station, beating sister station KTVQ by three months.
Montana's News Station can also be seen in Bozeman, Montana, on KBZK channel 7. In 2007, KBZK launched a separate newscast from their studios in Bozeman, specifically for the Bozeman market.
For many years, KXLF operated another semi-satellite, KXLH-LP in Helena. However, in late 2007, KXLH was transferred to sister station KRTV in Great Falls.
KBZK formerly served as the area's Fox affiliate, broadcasting under the call letters KCTZ.
KXLF's digital subchannel is known as Montana CW.
