The station was assigned the call letters KCCA on 1991-05-31. On 2001-04-25, the station changed it's call sign to KZNZ, on 2003-02-18 to KMXM, and on 2006-09-20 to the current KXFF.[2]
KXFF can also be heard in St. George, Utah via translator station K272AQ 102.3 FM.
