Kwok Tak Seng

Kwok Tak Seng (born in 1911 in Zhongshan, Guangdong, China and died in 1990 in Hong Kong) was a Chinese entrepreneur and the founder of Sun Hung Kai Properties, the largest property developer in Hong Kong. He emigrated to Hong Kong after WWII. He partnered with Fung King Hey and Lee Shau Kee to establish Sun Hung Kai Properties in 1958.[1] SHK Properties was publicly listed in Hong Kong in 1972 and soon became one of the top companies listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange by market capitalisation.[2]

Kwok died of heart attack in 1990 at the age of 79.[3] His chairman position in Sun Hung Kai was succeeded by his eldest son, Walter Kwok.[4]
