Kwisp includes members of the pioneering experimental rock band, Fifty Foot Hose, who have influenced many later bands, Throbbing Gristle, Pere Ubu, Skinny Puppy and Chrome, all of whom are well known. Fifty Foot Hose is credited as a very early experimental rock band, they not only influenced bands, but helped pioneer the styles of noise and industrial music. Fifty Foot Hose’s founder, Cork Marcheschi plays on some Kwisp recordings, he is credited as one of rock’s early experimental pioneers. In addition, Kwisp released an entire album on the Voiceprint label in collaboration with Daevid Allen from the very well known bands Gong and Soft Machine. Daevid Allen is considered not only notable, but legendary. Kwisp recordings have made the charts on many college radio stations including, #1 on several college radio stations.
