[edit] Current Wikipedia Topics of Interest

Somehow, a bunch of articles on Contemporary Iran and Persian history ended up on my watchlist. Since then, I have noticed that there is a surfeit of improperly used copyrighted images in this general area of interest.
The Jack Abramoff scandal is a veritable set cover problem in writing - this guy had his thumb in so many Washington pies at once, it's virtually impossible to determine how one Wikipedia article can describe the depth and breadth of his machinations. One has to wonder how he slept, to which the pat answer is: "Very well fed, and under silk sheets."

[edit] Editing current events

A hint for editors who are working on stories involving current events:

Use Google Alerts to setup a daily news search for the topic you are covering, and a summary of the latest articles will be delivered to your inbox. This can be used together with GMail and RSS feeds to build a custom RSS feed, giving you the latest updates on the topic for you to review before editing every day.
An Award
I award this Barnstar of Diligence to KWH for continuing to work on cleaning up the Jack Abramoff article while revert wars rage around him.(StuffOfInterest 13:24, 3 February 2006 (UTC))
