The Kwagu'ł (Kwagyuilh) are an Indigenous nation, apart of the Kwakwaka'wakw, in central British Columbia, on northern Vancouver Island,. Their main village is Tsaxis, or Fort Rupert. During trading and interaction with the Western world, the entire Kwakwaka'wakw was incorrectly named Kwakiutl, which comes from these people, the Kwagu'ł. The Indian Act First Nations government of these people is the Kwakiutl First Nation.
