The Kuwaiti coat of arms represents the national bird, the falcon along with a dhow,an Arabic type of boat called "Boom" or "AL-Boom" which is a prominent symbol of Kuwait's fishing and pearl mining history. The text near the top in Arabic says "Dawlat Al-Kuwait", or "State of Kuwait". Kuwait's flag is adjoined vertically at the bottom.
