Kutubdia (Bengali: কুতুবদিয়া) is an Upazila of Cox's Bazar District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh. The upazila consists of an island in the Bay of Bengal, off the coast near Chakaria, Cox's Bazar.

A police station at Kutubdia was established in 1917. The island was upgraded into an upazila in 1983. Saint Hazrat Abdul Malek Shah was born in this island.
Kutubdia area size is 36 sq.miles.. 18 miles in length and 2 miles in bretah. The famous the only light house which was built during the Bitish is located in Kutubdia. Kutubdia is rich in producing salt and Shutki mach!!

As of 1991 Bangladesh census[1], Kutubdia has a population of 95055. Males constitute are 51.66% of the population, and females 48.34%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 41755. Kutubdia has an average literacy rate of 24.1% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[2] The most populated area is Ali Akbar Dale. Thousad of visitors visited this island daily due to journey and other business related work.

Kutubdia has 6 Unions/Wards, 9 Mauzas/Mahallas, and 29 villages. The only town of the island is Kutubdia town, with an area of 9.82 square kilometres.
