Kurt Matlin, better known as KutMasta Kurt a.k.a. The Funky Redneck, is a hip hop producer, best known for his work with Kool Keith and the Beastie Boys.

- The US Olympic Committee forced Waxploitation Music (Kurt's record label) to change the name of "Redneck Olympics" to "Redneck Games", as the committee claims ownership of the term "Olympics". The album is named "Redneck Olympics" outside the US, however.
Kurt was also a frequent guest dj on Sway & King Tech's "Wake Up Show".
Kurt was a frequent guest dj on Mike Nardone & King Emz "The Joint" on LA's 92.3 the Beat . Later he filled Emz spot when he relocated to NYC.
Kurt has provided remixes for artists such as Mic Geronimo and PMD as well as original production for Planet Asia
Kurt met Motion Man while the two worked out at the same gym.
Kurt currently and occasionally guests dj's on Mike Nardone's "We Came From Beyond", LA's longest running Hip Hop Radio Show on KXLU 88.9fm
