Please have a look at Dead Tissue. I'm pretty confident that this can be speedied A1/A7/G1/hoax, but the author has removed the tag twice now and has not responded to my concerns on either xyr talk page or mine. Apologies
Hi there, I'm currently away at a beach resort on holiday but wanted to make a point of apologising to you. About 10 days ago I attempted to stop a vandal who had vandalised several articles without being reverted using our mass rollback feature. In my (unnecessary and stupid haste) I hit the wrong user link and began reverting your edits instead. I quickly realised however already about 50 firefox windows opened - freezing windows, and so to stop I tried to reset my PC, which resulted in the blue screen of death, and my being unable to reboot (karma!). The next day I left for my vacation.
Anyway, I dont even know if you noticed (I havent even tried to catch up on past messages) - but, I apologise and hope my doofusness (?!) didnt inconvenience you. Thanks and once again sorry! Glen 11:22, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- No problem, I had expected it was something like this. I hope you have a pleasant vacation! Kusma (討論) 11:25, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
Rv's in countries
Check also WP:ANI#Countries. He's apparently changing all maps too. Your rv's only reverted the accession date in some cases. •NikoSilver• 14:42, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- That was on purpose, since the older maps not showing the EU are better, especially at the size we're using. Kusma (討論) 14:43, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
JamesAVD
He's started spamming the same message on the talk pages of every EU member. Do you think he should be cautioned against doing this, or is this accepted practice? yandman 15:38, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- I'm counterspamming him to centralize the discussion. The weird thing is that I agree with him on the map, but for completely different reasons :-) Kusma (討論) 15:40, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
I don't have any opinion on this to be honest, but I can't stand his way of acting. By the way, he's removed the warnings from his talkpage twice, I've given him a {{Wr4}}, so would you mind blocking him if he does this again? (he removed the stop signs from other warnings a long time ago, but I didn't think this merited reversion). Thanks. yandman 15:59, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- I don't believe that removing warnings merits a block. It is somtimes impolite, but so is insisting on what other users should do to their talk page. See Wikipedia:Removing warnings and the pages linked from there about the long history of this discussion. Kusma (討論) 16:02, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks for correcting me. I always thought that the presence of the "Wr" templates meant that it was official policy. My mistake. I think he's trying to open an RfC on my conduct, as well as post on WP:AN. This should be interesting... yandman 16:18, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
Not spamming, starting the very discussion which should have happened in the first place to justify a map which is non-standard and potentially POV. Please assume good faith in future. And don't use warnings without due cause. JamesAVD 12:34, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- I have always assumed your good faith, but please try not to annoy your fellow editors too much, as this is a collaborative encyclopedia and we need to try to get along with each other. You were not blocked for removing warnings, but for completely blanking your talk page repeatedly, completely disregarding the wishes of your fellow editors and deleting many non-harassing messages. Yandman
I left a message on his talk page as well. I know it is controversial among admins, but I think it makes sense. If the person persists and is blocked, for example, the warnings remain until he/she is reinstated. And we all know it is always in the history. Rarelibra 16:57, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
Closer Attention Needed, Please
Thank you for your quick response to my report of vandalism by User:75.2.250.145. I wanted to point out that the normal protocol of notifying the User is going to be rather difficult here, as indicated by their own tag line: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tammy_Duckworth&diff=prev&oldid=85420515. Their talk page is either disabled or not present, and the user page itself is a "Special Page." Ergo, there is no way to follow normal policy of notification. As well, the language utilized in the edit summaries is remarkable close in nature to an editor permanently block by admin user: Gamaliel. This user was JoeHazleton, and the block was extended indefinitely specifically because o his aggressive behavior and use of sock-puppets and different accounts (including an IP address account) to bypass the block. If I am wrong, then I apologize deeply. However, in the discussion page, it is routine to seek peer review, especially before deleting entire sections. This was not sought prior to the deletions. That, coupled with the hinky account leads me to think something is wrong here. Perhaps expressing this concern in WP: Vandalism was incorrect. If so, blame me for making a noob mistake. However, common sense suggests something is amiss. I would ask that you take a close look at the situation, and possibly confer with admin User: Gamaliel.Arcayne 09:13, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
Your report at WP:AIV
As the IP gave a decent explanation for his edits in the edit summary, the section blanking was not vandalism, but a content dispute. Futhermore, please talk to editors first (warn them) before reporting them at WP:AIV. That page is only for clear vandals who need to be blocked after not reacting to warnings. Thank you, and happy editing, Kusma (討論) 09:01, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

Hey Kusma, I just wanted to let you know that User:Xoloz nominated me for admin and I caved in. Since you offered to nominate me before I thought I'd let you know that I'm not snubbing your offer, but decided to go with Xoloz's since I've worked "under" him at WP:DRV for the last months, so he was able to write a nomination from experience. Thanks for fixin' up Baba
Frankly, I didn't quite know what do since Baba had for some reason redirected to the Baba (disambiguation) article. I have a question: can you show me where there is a list of names that redirect to articles so that I can fix 'em up, or does no such thing exist on Wikipedia? Arigato! Power level (Dragon Ball) 16:46, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Well, what I meant to ask was: For the Dragon Ball characters as an example, Goku redirects to Son Goku (Dragon Ball), Krillin redirects to Kuririn, Korin redirects to Karin (Dragon Ball), etc. Is there a list on Wikipedia that shows what redirects to what or does this type of article just not exist? Hi
Hey Kusma, thanks for the invitation to the Wikiproject: German.
I had a question regarding editing.
Q: Is there a way in which i can make changes to a text and save it but the changes are not visible on the page?
I want to do this because i cant work on a project at a stretch.

Anton Alexander von Werner
You've got a real point regarding his importance to Germany, which I can't dispute. I only including him in the Top category because he's included on the Wikipedia CD release. The article now has that banner as well. As you are more experienced in these matters than I am, I think you'd probably be in a better position to determine whether that should be a factor in their importance to the project or not. Badbilltucker 00:38, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
Requested move
Can you move Strange (disambiguation) to just Strange? It's saying that I can't do it for some reason? Can you do it since you're an administrator? Thanks a bunch! Power level (Dragon Ball) 03:45, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- Also merge it's history page please? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Power level (Dragon Ball) (talk • contribs)
- I have moved the page. It was admin-only since Strange had more than one edit. The page history of Strange was trivial, so merging wasn't necessary. Happy editing, Kusma (討論) 06:38, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
Move
Angel dust (disambiguation) should be moved to Angel Dust shoudn't it? Or should it be moved to Angel dust? Which one is he proper noun? Power level (Dragon Ball) 14:04, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what is best. The current form makes some kind of sense because angel dust is a redirect to phencyclidine, which would need to have its hatnote changed. Maybe you could try and ask the nice people at the disambiguation project for their opinion. Kusma (討論) 14:30, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

Help
I ask the people about the Angel dust thing later, for now, this is also an administrator only move --->> "Please redirect the Shane (disambiguation) to Shane and merge it's history since I can't do it, thanks. Power level (Dragon Ball) 16:48, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- Are you sure the film isn't by far the most common meaning? It is less hassle if someone decides it is and just edits the redirect and then the disambig page redirect can be fixed a bit later. I guess a move like this should have been proposed first at WP:RM. I will wait for at least a week before I do anything about this situation, which doesn't seem urgent. Kusma (討論) 16:58, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- I have requested the move and history merge for Shane at WP:RM just like you said. I hope they can do something about it... Power level (Dragon Ball) 17:29, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- As the page was properly moved using the "move" tag instead of cut and paste, no history merging is required. Kusma (討論) 17:32, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- That's the thing, it wasn't moved yet though. Power level (Dragon Ball) (let's talk about it...) 17:45, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- I mean your move was done properly, and there is nothing in the history of Shane that would need to be merged anywhere. A WP:RM request stays up for five days so other editors can comment on it; only completely obvious moves are done without discussion. As the film was only recently moved to Shane, I don't think your reversal of that move was necessarily a good idea. You might want to talk to Sjorford, who performed that move. Kusma (討論) 17:50, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

I'm still pretty new with user talk pages, so I wasn't sure if I should place my reply to your comments on my page or yours - so I did both.. Good point about the double categories Former German colonies and German colonies. Which category would you keep? "Former German colonies" appears to be more accurate. Shiny new buttons
Two weeks ago I couldn't even spell administratur and now I are one (in no small part thanks to your support). Now that I checked out those new buttons I realize that I can unleash mutant monsters on unsuspecting articles or summon batteries of laser guns in their defense. The move button has now acquired special powers, and there's even a feature to roll back time. With such awesome new powers at my fingertips I will try to tread lightly to avoid causing irreversible damage and getting into any wheel wars. Thanks again and let me know whenever I can be of use.

Adminship considerations
You know, it's funny. I immediately started reconsidering the whole concept in a positive way after reading your message. I've enabled my email, and I'm going to put a link to the template substitution page on my user page for reference -- it's going to be a matter of memorization, and if I can consult it easily and quickly, the frequency of use will do that. I don't know, perhaps that mop will be nice in a little while. I'd definitely want to fulfill the 1FA suggestion first, though. For my own skills and the 'pedia as much as for good impressions. What other issues should I consider as I go forward towards an RfA sometime in the late spring? -Fsotrain09 15:58, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
WikiProject Munich
Hi Kusma, I've created a WikiProject Munich. I think anything related to Munich should go onto the Munich WikiProject and not the German WikiProject as it would relieve some of the load off of the Germany WikiProject. I've already asked a few people to join. This project should be good once a few people have joined. Since you're very active in the Germany WikiProject, I would think you might help out a little bit with WikiProject Munich. I'm thinking of having WikiProjects for Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Bremen, Nuremberg and Bavaria to help focus on these. It might be benificial for WikiProject Germany to have WikiProjects for Munich and the other cities and Bavaria since users could help out with more specific topics then just Germany as a whole. I hope to here from you soon. Kingjeff 02:00, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- Most, if not all Munich-related things obviously go also under WikiProject Germany. There's nothing wrong with articles belonging to several WikiProjects, you'll just have a different focus and a different idea of importance. I'm a bit skeptical that starting off lots of project pages is going to help much, though. You should probably try to advertise your idea at Talk:Munich and Category:Wikipedians in Munich to find people specifically interested in Munich (they will also be able to help by taking pictures more easily than others. I am already working on too many projects (I'd love to do more on the Holy Roman Empire taskforce of the Former Countries Wikiproject, for example) and am not really interested in Munich very much (and don't know all that much about it), so I don't think I'll be able to help much with organizing it. As inactive projects are worse than having no project page about a topic at all (as you can see from the old Germany project), I suggest you don't create projects unless there is a definite need and a userbase that will write and polish the articles. I don't have much general experience with subprojects, so you might want to ask Badbilltucker or people involved with the WikiProject council how to best organize these. Good luck, and happy editing, Kusma (討論) 08:37, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
Portal
Hey, I "borrowed" some of the styles from Portal:Germany into Portal:China, I hope you don't mind :P
Anyway, I've been working on the Chinese portal recently. Can you take a look at it to see what else is needed? Thanks! AQu01rius (User • Talk) 22:19, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
- Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery :-) The portal looks pretty nice already, but I think you should try to get a better balance of the two columns. Ideally, they should be the same length (which is hard with daily-changing content, but you should try to get the difference as small as possible). I wish you good luck with the Anniversaries section: it is a huge amount of work, and I am slowly getting tired of it after completing three quarters of the year (I basically wrote every single one of the Anniversary subpages). But I think content that changes daily is cool, so I hope it's worth it :-) Happy editing, Kusma (討論) 09:59, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

Party affiliation of the German president
A German president may be member of a party. Köhler was member of the CDU, he is member of the CDU, and he will be it when he leaves office. It is a correct and important information about him, even though he is expected not to be parisan. -- Zz 14:45, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- Doesn't his membership rest like those of the Presidents traditionally do? Kusma (討論) 14:57, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- Anyway, I just tried to remove the wrong "Independent", the easiest way to do that was by removing the Party field without explaining the traditions of the German presidency. Of course he is a CDU member at least in some sense, but the party affiliation of a German president means something different than the party affiliation of an American president, so I felt removing the field could lead to less confusion. I wasn't exactly happy with this, either. Perhaps a footnote might be best? Kusma (討論) 15:00, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- Their membership does not rest. They are expected not hold any offices in a party. I must check if this is somehow legally determined. - I read somewhere that Heinemann was the only one who did not let his party membershop rest, whatever that means. Maybe it just means he paid his membership fees. Somewhere else I read that Herzog didn't re-activate his CDU membership after leaving office, but I'm too lazy to find reliable sources on this right now. Kusma (討論) 20:47, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject Munich Stub templates
Did WikiProject Germany ever have to get approval for stub templates? Kingjeff 22:05, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- I think all of our stub templates were created before the Project was created, and probably went through the approval process. I don't really know much about WP:WSS/P and how things work there; Carabinieri is probably the better person to ask about how this works. Kusma (討論) 07:43, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

Palais Strousberg
What! not of high importance [2]! (Joking - It's hardly up there with the Bauhaus or the Reichstag). You might be able to help me though - Bethel Henry Strousberg - the entrepreneur who commissioned the Palais, needs a stub category - presumably there's one for German-bio-stub or something - but I couldn't find it - you might want to rate the article as "short AFD candidate on extremely important topic" - He did bring the railway to berlin, most of east germany and europe. Talk:Pope Benedict XVI
It happens on FireFox. It did not happen on IE. So I didn't notice it first. It's fixed now. I had put the small boxes in a table. I didn't bother to investigate why that had to be done in this case. I had to do the same at Talk:Islam. -- Ganeshk (talk) 15:45, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Welcome template and banner
I think it looks good. Personally I could do with less of the Flag. But that is a more general observation as a number of participants will not be German but have an interrest in Germany. You beat me to implementing the image switch. I haven't checked yet but I wanted to link it to the already existing category for German picture requests. Is there a small switch? Also I was wondering if we could have a regional switch so that individual regional sub-projects can just enter region=bavaria and the corresponding category and text will appear. I am trying to think ahead and reduce the number of talkpage banners that will appear to avoid banner-overdose. Munich has sadly jumped the gun on that. Agathoclea 23:14, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
- I messed up my own messge there. I meant this category to be the image category. That way we could remove one - redundant - template from the talkpages and still populate that category. Anyway I think that category will help up find another <236 articles. Mainz? Good idea to test. I did envision the city/region COA showing opposite the flag. Agathoclea 23:32, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
- I could look at the code but it would be a few weeks until I have time. I have a wikibreak coming up due to work commitments. I moved our image Category to be a sub-cat of this category, that way we can work our way through tagging the articles in there and they are still within the scope of the image wikiproject. Project greeting template
Can't figure out how to get the person's name put in right; maybe it doesn't have to be included. Neither Biography nor Military history substitute the name in their new member templates, so maybe if it can't be made to work right we can drop it too. Made a couple of slight additions and changes (basically plagarising Military history's similar template) that might be acceptable. The automatic watchlisting function does work by the way; I tried it already. Anyway, that's all I can think of. And the subtle hint (if that's what it was :) ) that I haven't done much lately was caught too. Because of Thanksgiving, I'll be occupied both Thursday and Friday, but should be back to work on the project more regularly either on the weekend or, if not, early next week. Luckily, the project has an extremely qualified contributor in you, so I don't think my absence has been really missed that much. Thanks again for all of your good work. :) Badbilltucker 00:01, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

Frankfurt (Oder)
Hey Kusma, could you please have a look at Frankfurt (Oder). User:Pmanderson (whose signature reads "Septicemia" or something, so it's not immediately clear who it is) keeps reverting to a version of his own invention (about "Frankfurt-on-Oder") and has added a dispute tag. As someone who has actually lived in FF for many years, I have tried to discuss it, but he blankly falls back on the usual excuses such as "not English usage." What's next, Fürstenwalde-on-Spree? Jacobsdorf-in-the-Margrave? Bernau-next-to-Berlin? Regards, ProhibitOnions (T) 20:19, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for looking; that user has contributed nothing at all to the article except for constantly reverting the introductory paragraph, and has totally refused to consider talk-page arguments and a consensus for the use of the city's legal name (ie, "Frankfurt (Oder)"). Unfortunately the article generates little interest. I'd like to expand it to at least the length of the German one (as well as the article about Eisenhüttenstadt) but have no desire to do so if there's a troll constantly ready to spoil things. Sigh. Persistant vandalism
Thanks for the vandalism revert on my userpage - that opened a can of worms. Someone is trying to include the names Florian Rosenwick and Daniel Knippschild mainly into football related articles - see the new vandalism watch at the bottom of my page. I am just unsure about the involvement of Horst.hoebelt (talk · contribs)[5] -- Agathoclea 23:40, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- I'd be inclined to WP:AGF with the registered user (can't really say how good the other contributions are), but I don't get the joke or whatever this is. I hope your vandalism watch is sufficient to get rid of this problem. If it repeats after warnings, we can block the IP or if there are many IPs, semiprotect the articles. Not today, though - too late for me already. Kusma (討論) 23:54, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- I had to revert Bayer Leverkusen twice since. And checking that editors contribution show the same pattern of adding non-notable or falke names to articles. I am jus tunsure if sprotection would benefit. the current situatio serves as watchlist-bait. -- Agathoclea 22:28, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject Germany
I am trying to organise all the templates related to Germany using the following cats below:
- Category:WikiProject Germany templates
- Category:WikiProject Germany stub templates
Perhaps you could help me on it? Leter would also try to bring the germany related categories under the WP:Germany umbrella, what do you think about it? STTW (talk) 13:54, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
- Perhaps we could make a bot request to add all templates related to Germany to have a link to WikiProject Germany as one has for {{India-music-stub}} and added to the above categories. STTW (talk) 14:10, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry about the council question, big guy. But, like I said, I don't think I've ever seen any of the other projects do multiple importance banners. I think, if you haven't already, I can make sure that they're well created now (although they're probably right as is). Then, all we have to do is notify the Version 1.0 people. RfB
Oppose, while I do trust the candidate, I disagree with the "we need to have fixed ending time" thing which seems to be what this RfB is about. A fixed rule would be much easier to game than having our bureaucrats decide when to close. Kusma (討論) 14:34, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- I agree. An informed decision to extend taken and announced shortly after close eliminates the complained-of uncertainty. I stand for low-delay decision making process, not for automatic closure at 7 days and one minute. Thx. - crz crztalk 14:58, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
NewsRx
Kusma: Why did you delete and protect from future creation the article on NewsRx? It is a United States publishing company, and many, many such companies are listed. Please restore the article for that page, since you are being arbitrary in preventing it from being listed. NewsRx is the world's largest publisher of health and medical information and is more important than most of the United States publishing companies you already have listed...Thank you...Wcsu
- The article has been deleted four times in the last ten days, three times as an advertisement, once as a very short article providing little context. The article also did not state why the company is important, and so was deletable under WP:CSD#A1 and WP:CSD#A7. Do you have reliable sources independent from the company itself that you can use to write an article about it? Kusma (討論) 20:06, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, it may take a few weeks, but I will put it together and send it to you here to see if it is okay. Thank you for your ideas, and for your response...Wcsu

Oh, the humanity!
I had my doubts about a second RfA, but even I couldn't have predicted the way it caught fire and inexorably drifted to the ground in flames, causing quite a stir on its way down. Wondering if you had any comment regarding this user's current unblock request. Since they only have one edit I can see, I'm a bit inclined to assume good faith, unblock, and keep an eye on it, unless there's something else I should know about (deleted edits, past history, sockpuppetry, whatever that might be). So please do let me know if there is something more I should know about, here. Thanks in advance. Luna Santin 19:57, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Germany
Thank you for your encouraging message and support. I noticed the Germany article a while ago and saw that even though it contained much (probably too much) good information, it lacked a certain level of coherence and sources and was a bit too long. Hopefully it will be possible to rectify these inadequacies so that soon it will reach FA status. TSO1D 20:02, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
I need you to keep an eye out for this person
24.180.10.60 appears to have contributed nothing but unconstructive edits and I've been very easy going with this Wikipedian so far with the warnings and all. Now I'm not saying that the person should be blocked by you or anyone else, but should be kept an eye on by administrators. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Power level (Dragon Ball) (talk • contribs)
- When you warned the user, the block for the edit you warned him for had already expired. The user has not edited since then, so there is currently nothing to do unless he comes back and vandalizes again, in which case mentioning him at WP:AIV will probably lead to a block quickly. German Mysticism project
I'm not sure if you want to do anything about this, or even whether anything should be done. The current project page reads rather too much like an apologia for Nazi thought for me to be really comfortable with, but that might just be me. With the existing subprojects, and possibly a couple more on the way, do you think maybe the Germany project could create a philosophy unit, or maybe an explicitly Nazi Germany unit, both of which could include this subject, and/or maybe request that this project be merged into the Germany project? I don't think that this group is ever likely to do much anyway, but I would really hate to see a group that could be a Nazi POV fork on wikipedia get the chance to make much headway. Badbilltucker 16:17, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
- I don't know if anything needs to be done right now. Nazi mysticism is pretty esoteric, and the non-Nazi neo-pagan mysticism connected to this is so, too. I think the project is probably more something for the Religion project if you want to put it under a big umbrella. In any case, taking them in as an official subproject of WP:GER would mean that we think it is a good idea what they do, so we shouldn't do that right now.
- The creation of a Nazi Germany subproject (the Military History people can probably help with that) would be a good idea no matter what this mysticism project does. I won't do it, of course, as I am working on too many projects already, and have the half-started GDR project sitting in my userspace waiting to be expanded and merged into the Germany project. As for a German philosophy unit, that will need somebody knowledgeable and willing to do it, but perhaps the Philosophy project / portal people are working on this stuff enough already (I have no idea). Kusma (討論) 17:25, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
- The religion project, which only got its first official member (me) earlier this month, is also probably a bit too new to be trying to annex what might be considered older projects (this one existed before the membership section of the religion page). It does however not show a lot of activity, and we might be able to safely absorb it once it passes three months inactivity. Thanks for the quick response, though. And, believe me, I full well understand feeling like you're working on too many projects already. Thanks again for all your great work on the Germany project. Badbilltucker 17:49, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
Kinder des Himmels
Hi Kusma - if you get a chance, could you take a look at Children of Heaven and see if there is anything in the German Wikipedia that could be added to our article? If you're busy with other stuff, that's okay too. Cheers, --HappyCamper 18:47, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
- I think some parts of the background, critics and award sections could be added. I'll try to do something about it later. I don't feel comfortable writing about the plot summary, as it differs between the German and English versions and I haven't seen the movie. Kusma (討論) 08:26, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
Vandalism watch page
I am currently learning the ropes of how to create an automated recent changes list which will be able to monitor the recent changes in articles selected for monitoring. I am giving it a bit of a dry run with the reamining articles in the Dogs project before I go over to the Germany. It is relatively simple to execute, but involves the creation of a page named Wikipedia:WikiProject Germany/Articles to be able to work, and the inclusion of the names of the articles to be watched on that page. Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Dogs/Articles for a newly created similar list. As the scope of this project is nothing less than incredible, I think I would trust other parties, such as yourself, to make the choices of which articles to include on the recent changes list. Then all we have to do is add a line or two to the project page and any member will be able to look over the recent changes. Like I said, I'm right now giving it a dry run in the Dogs articles, but have every reason to believe that it will work, as it looks like other projects are already doing this. I do want to give it a couple of days before I commit to that, though. Badbilltucker 20:37, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
- I am a bit uncertain about the scope of this watchlist. All articles that belong to the project are in my opinion too much, but should be easily done by transcluding all the "by quality" pages on a single page and checking Recentchangeslinked for that. Probably murder on the servers if that is done with big projects, though. To get all important articles, we would just need to have someone with a bot create a list from our Top- and High-importance categories. The main question is whether and how people will actually use this, and what kind of organization is useful for that. Kusma (討論) 20:58, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi Kusma. Perhaps I'm too late, but I'd be interested in participating in WikiProject Germany. Trouble is, I don't know where to start.
I have a good working knowledge of German and I could translate some things into English (but not the other way around!). I'm pretty well-versed in German history, esp. of the 20th C. but also re the Teutonic Order. Any suggestions? Danke. Sca 22:07, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

- Danke für ihren Antwort. So, for example, under Requests is Kyffhäuser Monument. Should I simply translate the Kyffhäuserdenkmal article from German Wiki? Perhaps editing it down a bit for English readers? What about the photos on the German page? I'm not very well versed in graphics tools, unfortunately, and sad to say never created a Wiki article, only edited. (I've written thousands of news stories.) Sca 22:53, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
