[edit] Vandal
If a vandal does 1 constructive edit, 1 bad edit, then a constructive one, and then a bad edit; the rollback will delete all of them right? Lex T/C Guest Book 20:59, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, so if that happens you will unfortunately have to undo them one by one...--Kushan I.A.K.J 05:16, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- So vandals can outsmart us by making a lot of vandalism, and covering it up with 2 constructive edits at the end, huh? Lex T/C Guest Book 10:52, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Edit summaries
I've seen many people's edit summaries saying: "Reverted good faith edits by X-User", or "Reverted edits identified as vandalism by Y-user". How is the rollback done so that is in the edit summary? Lex T/C Guest Book 10:56, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- Edit summaries are only for the undo button, you don't have to give any reason for Rollback(you can't anyway).--Kushan I.A.K.J 10:59, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
It's important to note, Alex, that you should never use rollback on any good faith edits. If you do you will lose the rollback tool. If you think an edit was made in good faith, make sure you revert without using rollback. As for the "Reverted good faith edits by X-User" edit summaries you mentioned, those reverts were not made with the rollback tool but rather by using the Twinkle script by AzaToth. This script gives editors the option of three different types of edit summaries, including the "good faith" and "identified as vandalism" ones that you mention above.
