Kusatsu hot springs

The Kusatsu hot springs (草津温泉 Kusatsu Onsen?) are located in the Gunma Prefecture of Japan, north west of tokyo. They are a popular tourist destanation.
The springs were a well known resort for centuries but they became one of the best known of such locations after the water there was recommended by Erwin von Baelz a German doctor for its health benefits.[1]
