Kurt Jensen is a Danish-born business professional currently living in the USA. Since June of 2005, he has served as General Manager of Store Technical Services (STS) at Circuit City Stores, Inc. managing and directing a team of 120 vendor professionals who provide technical support services to the IT, Telecom and other technology infrastructure at Circuit City's 689 (January, 2008) stores.
Born into a blue collar family, Kurt Jensen obtained a Master's Degree in Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (Formerly Polytechnic Institute) in 1984. He got his professional start working as an consultant in acoustics and noise & vibration control at Ødegaard & Danneskiold-Samsøe A/S. In 1989, he became employed with Brüel & Kjær A/S, a leading manufacturer of advanced instrumentation for noise and vibration measurement and analysis. During the following six years, Kurt Jensen assumed a number of positions with increasing responsibilities, including Project Manager (1991), Project Director (Interim), Sales Manager (1993) and Market Manager (1994).
Having acquired a broad range of technical and business management experience and expertise, Mr. Jensen moved with his family to Sydney, Australia in June of 1995 to establish and direct the Condition Monitoring Systems (CMS)business unit of Brüel & Kjær Australia Pty. Ltd. During the following two years, the business recorded a 700% revenue growth. Having established an ISO 9000-certified de facto regional Center of Excellence under Kurt Jensen's leadership, the Australian branch assumed responsibility for project management throughtout South East Asia and Pacific Rim.
