Message from a long-time RAMS fan: I blame Martz. He kept Warner in the NFC Championship game against Philadelphia much too long. The Rams were leading late in the game, and Kurt should have been taken out of the game. Instead, Martz kept him in there. Subsequently, Kurt was injured (not much was said about it, but I am sure he was hurt), and then disaster struck in the Super Bowl. Kurt has struggled since.
[edit] whats with this?
Patriots coach Bill Belichick, determined to slow down Martz's high-flying, Warner-led attack, blitzed early and often, confusing the normally in-control Warner throughout the game
I removed that, the Patriots barley blitzed at all in that superbowl. they were mearly phyiscal with the recievers at the line and hit them hard when they caught it. The Pats blitzed a lot the first time they met that year and got burned they just played coverage in the superbowl.
[edit] First Things First
The caption for the First Things First logo says "The First Things First Foundation is dedicated to impacting lives by promoting christian values, sharing experiences and providing opportunities to encourage everyone that all things are possible when people seek to put first things first." Do we really need this pov pr ad? Aecis Appleknocker Flophouse 17:57, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
- I second this comment. If Warner supports First Things First then mentioning it in the article with a corresponding hyperlink would be appropriate. The current advertisement is practically a spinning flaming logo. Funkyj 23:30, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] POV Problems
This page is rather rah rah for Warner and really sounds a bit too biased. It sounds more like it was written by that guy Will up at the top of the page and not an encyclopeda entry. AA
[edit] Copyright
I've noticed that biographical pieces with a certain tone tend to be copyright violations. --Gbleem 22:43, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Amsterdam
The article doesnt mention when he spent his time with the Admirals? Mattlore 10:57, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] EVERYTHING?
I'm going to remove this learned-everything-from-Johnathan-Keenum thing. I seriously doubt he really learned "everything. If it's based on something true and you put it back in, please be more specific.SuperToad64 17:22, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Rise from Arena -> NFL story is wrong
See http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/CAR/5918336 for the real story, basicly Amsterdam Admirals headcoach Al Luginbill had seen him and wanted him to play for the Amsterdam Admirals however NFL Europa rules only allowed for allocated NFL QB's to play. So Al Luginbill went out and tried to get Warner a team that would sign him so he could play for the Amsterdam Admirals. The Rams signed him (orignally as fourth QB I think) with the intention to cut him if he wasn't good enough. After his 1998 season with the Admirals he made the team as third QB on the Rams roster moving up to second in the 1999 preseason, starting the entire year when Trent Green got injured in the last pre-season game. Arena Football provided him with a place to play ball (semi-pro), but it was Al Luginbill's liking of Kurt Warner that brought him into the NFL. --Z Doc 23:28, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Something to incorporate
I don't have the time to do it now - but this seems like good information for the article -> http://www.legis.state.ia.us/GA/78GA/Legislation/SR/00100/SR00120/Current.html. it's a bill that was passed to honor warner. Juan Miguel Fangio| â–ºChat 09:02, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
